Richard is a Marion County native. He spent more than 20 years in all aspects of the Pest Control industry. He’s worked with Fellowship of Companies for Christ International and served as a Chairman for the C12 Group. Richard has served on the board of several nonprofits and other companies. He and his wife Dottie acquired Face the Day 15 years ago and Tuscany Salon Spa in The Villages in 2022. Dottie has a passion for her family, people and for life. With a desire to help people, Dottie worked with multiple nonprofits. She is also a recent Breast Cancer survivor. They have been married for 43 years, have 2 adult children and grandchildren from the ages of 2 to 17. They love people and believe every life is unique and valuable and each one worth nurturing. Their hope is to serve others through the Spa and Salon world in a way that it not only makes a difference for only six weeks but that it will matter in a hundred years or even eternity. I’m passionate about creating a welcoming and relaxing environment for every guest, ensuring not only their beauty needs are met—but that their entire salon experience feels seamless, enjoyable, and special. As someone who deeply values connection and care, I take pride in supporting both our guests and our team, helping everything run smoothly behind the scenes while also being a friendly, familiar face at the front. I have experience in customizing color and cuts since 2006. My happy place is wowing my guests with highlights, balayage, and dimensional colors. No boring hair in my chair! I joined the Face the Day family almost 9 years ago. I adore Aveda and its products because they focus on true health and wellness along with being plant-derived and their commitment to cruelty-free practices. I love seeing our guests leave my chair looking fresh and feeling pampered. I’m proud to have been recognized for the past four years in the Ocala Magazine, Better than the Best and winning three years in a row, 2022, 2023, and 2024 as Best Stylist in Ocala and one of the top three Barbers in 2024.

In 2013, I started my educational journey. I took my career to the next level with in-detail classes in including color theory, formulation, precision cutting, and specialized techniques. My passion lies in transforming all hair and bringing out its natural beauty. A special affection goes out to my curly hair guests, men’s haircuts, and beard trims. Nothing brings me more joy than seeing my guests light up about the true beauty they see in their reflection.
